After posting this thread I received a pm. A few calls later and with very little cohercing the wife I head over to meet the the new 1 yo puppy. After some good conversation and a trip to the bank I am headed home with a Springer Spaniel. Included is a kennel, dishes, toys and some food to hold me over for a day.

Way more then what I was expecting! Did I mention that they were great people?
We get home and I open the kennel door to let him out..... He just sits in the kennel.. I unlock the house, grab the kennel with the dog still in it, place it on the ground. He bolts out nad startss sniffin around staying in the yard. I grab the kennel and head in the house, he is right behind me. Great dog and minds very well.
We have a fenced in back yard on a small lake with lots of duck! We head out back, he steps off the porch, sees the ducks and locks up into a stance staring at the ducks. I am thinking to myself this is a good sign, but I do not plan on hunting ducks with him. Pheasants and other upland birds but not ducks.
After a few mins of sniffing around and doing his buisness, back in the house we go. He took to his new home very well. Great dog, very lovable and energetic. Just like the other Spaniel I used to have.
He is a great Springer and our family will enjoy him and our future hunts together!
thank you huntingfool7 for all the memories that will come in the future! We will keep in touch and bring Hurly to visit.
